20-year-old Tunisha Sharma allegedly died by suicide on Saturday. The actor was playing the lead role in Ali Baba: Daastan-E-Kabul and took her life on the set of her TV show. As per sources on the set, Tunisha went to the washroom during the tea break. When she did not come back after a long time, people went to check and found her dead. She was rushed to the hospital where she was declared brought dead.
Tunisha Sharma’s mother Vanita Sharma on Sunday filed a complaint against her Ali Baba co-star Sheezan M Khan. In a media statement, Vanita shared that Sheezan cheated on Tunisha. “First, he had a relationship with her saying that he will marry her and later broke up with her. He was already involved with another woman and yet got into a relationship with Tunisha, and used her for three to four months. He should be punished for that,” she said.
Following the complaint, Sheezan was arrested on charges of abetment of suicide and sent to four-day police custody by Vasai court on Sunday. However, Khan’s advocate has told ANI that the police have not found any evidence and his arrest is based on allegations.
Reem Shaikh disheartened to see media capture actress’ mother in worse state
Tunisha Sharma’s BFF Reem Sameer Shaikh took to Instagram to express displeasure over media coverage of the actress’ last rites. The Fanaa: Ishq Mein Marjawan actress took to Instagram to issue a statement urging the media to give Tunisha’s family privacy to mourn her demise. She said that it ‘boiled her blood’ to see that during the rituals, they were asked to give quotes and speak about what they feel.

Filmmaker Abbas Alibhai Burmawalla of the Abbas-Mustan duo, who joined the funeral of the late actress Tunisha Sharma, said she could have thought about her mother and loved ones before taking the extreme step. “It is very sad and disappointing news that at such a young age of 20 she took a drastic step without thinking about her mother and others in the family,” Abbas said. “Today’s generation certain times don’t think much, but taking such a step is never right.”
Sheezan Khan’s Mother and Sister Attend Last Rites
Sheezan Khan’s mother and sister attended Tunisha Sharma’s last rites which were held on Tuesday, December 27. The two were snapped by the paparazzi as they arrived at the crematorium ground on Mira Road to pay their last respects to the departed soul. In the video that surfaced online, Sheezan’s sister and mother were seen avoiding paps as they walked straight into the crematorium ground.
