Taarak Mehta Ka Ooltah Chashmah Actress Jennifer Mistry Bansiwal, best known for her character Ms. Roshan Singh Sodhi, left the series 15 years ago. She accused producer Asit Kumarr Modi of making sexual advances towards her.Jennifer filed a lawsuit against him, project manager Sohail Ramani and executive producer Jatin Bajaj. The actress stopped filming the series a few months ago and her last day of work was March 6th.
Jennifer Mistry revealed the details of what happened and told ETimes she was humiliated on set by the project director and executive producer. “Sohail Ramani asked me to leave the set four times and Jatin Bajaj tried to stop my car by standing behind him and preventing me from leaving the set. I told them I had been working on the show for 15 years and they couldn’t stop. They attacked me violently and when I left Sohail threatened me.I have filed a sexual harassment complaint against Asit Kumarr Modi, Sohail Ramani and Jatin Bajaj.

Jennifer further said that it took her half a day to do Holi because her daughter was looking forward to this festival. She wasn’t allowed to, however, and the actress demanded that she also take her two-hour break, which she was denied. In addition, the actress said that the set of Taarak Mehta Ka Ooltah Chashmah was an extremely chauvinistic setting as the bedding was custom-made for all the male actors except her. “When I got my revenge, Sohail spoke rudely to me and almost four times asked me to get out.

She continued: “On April 4th I WhatsApped them that I had been sexually harassed and they came up to me and said I was trying to extort money from them. That day I decided that I wanted to apologize publicly. On March 8th, I sent a notice to Asit Modi, Sohail Ramani and Jatin Bajaj and also sent
and protocol to all government agencies.I don’t have any feedback on this, but I’m sure they need to look into this and investigate. Every human in Taarak Mehta is a slave.
Asit Modi is accused of sexual harassment
“Asit Modi has sexually courted me several times in the past. At first I ignored everything he said for fear of losing my job. Don’t let him out. A month ago I filed a complaint with the authorities but I didn’t receive any refund.I’m sure they need to deal with it and work on it. I’m sure they need to investigate. I have hired a lawyer and I know justice will come soon,” said actress Taarak Mehta Ka Ooltah Chashmah.
Jennifer also recalled that she was pregnant at the time and was fired from the team when her co-star Gurucharan Singh Sodhi left the show. “I didn’t want to leave but they fired me for leaving,” the actress said.
