At least 48 vehicles were damaged after an accident took place last night on the Navale Bridge located in Pune-Bengaluru highway due to the brake failure of a heavy vehicle.It is being demanded that if there is any technical flaw in the construction of the bridge, it should be removed as the winter season has started and there will be fog all over the roads in just a few days. The possibility of accidents will increase due to fog and mist.Pune Navale Bridge has become a hot spot for accidents. A woman was killed after being hit by a speeding car near the bridge on the outer ring road, a few days ago.Police and administration had reached the spot in the night itself, but till now it is not clear how the vehicles collided with each other. It is believed that this happened due to a technical fault in the bridge.
The slope on the bridge is high, due to which the drivers are unable to control their speed and accidents keep happening. Fire tenders reached the spot after receiving information about the collision of vehicles. The injured have been admitted to different hospitals in Pune.
