A woman in Uttar Pradesh’s Pratapgarh district, who was reportedly addicted to the game of Ludo, started living with her homeowner after she lost a game to him. The woman’s husband, Umesh, who works in Jaipur, has complained to the police about the incident. According to the complaint, he moved to Jaipur for work six months ago. His wife, who was addicted to Ludo, allegedly spent all the money he spent at home on gambling.
But the woman has now claimed that she is not addicted to gambling but her husband is, which has prompted the police to launch a manhunt for the complainant.
“My husband is addicted to gambling. I don’t have any such habits. I am a domestic help by profession and work hard to make ends meet,” the woman told the police.
It was alleged that the event occurred in the Devkali neighborhood of Nagar Kotwali. The woman’s addiction to the game of Ludo was worrisome. She would often engage in this activity with her landlord in the past.
She then dialed her husband’s number and recounted the whole ordeal to him. Her husband went to Pratapgarh and reported the incident to the authorities there.
According to Renu’s spouse, he once lived in a rented home in the Devkali neighborhood. Since he left for his job in Jaipur six months ago, he has regularly sent his wife money, which she has spent on gambling.
According to the statements made by the husband, the woman has moved in with the landlord. “I tried to make her leave him, but she is not ready to do it.”
A police official, Subodh Gautam, said, “We are trying to get in touch with the man and will start an investigation as soon as we contact him.”
