The Chennai Super Kings (CSK) of MS Dhoni earned their first victory of the most recent Indian Premier League (IPL) season on Monday thanks to Moeen Ali and Ruturaj Gaikwad. In their first home game of the new season, the Deepak Chahar-led bowling attack bowled three no-balls and as many as 13 wides. “They will have to bowl fewer no-balls and wides. In order to avoid them playing with a new captain, we must cease bowling so many additional deliveries.” Dhoni said during the post-game presentation.
The legendary CSK player and former captain of India also shared his thoughts on the Chepauk pitch, which in the 16th season of the lucrative league produced an amazing run-fest. With the help of early runs from Devon Conway (47), Gaikwad (57), and Ambati Rayudu (27), Dhoni’s CSK set the highest score in the current IPL season at Chepauk. In the high-scoring game, Moeen Ali bowled beautifully, grabbing four wickets to help CSK restrict LSG to 205 for 7 in 20 overs.

In his brief appearance during CSK’s triumph over LSG, Dhoni struck two consecutive sixes off Mark Wood in the penultimate over. Dhoni’s six-hitting skills allowed the CSK captain to alter the course of history in the richest T20 tournament on the planet. The 41-year-old became the seventh player in IPL history to reach 5,000 runs scored. In 236 games, the team’s captain has 5,004 runs, making him a four-time IPL winner.
