Man Gets Good Karma Back, Gets Job After Saving Baby From Rolling Into Traffic

The homeless man noticed a stroller drifting toward the main road as he was leaving a job interview.

A US guy who gained notoriety on social media for saving the life of a toddler has found employment. The homeless guy, later identified as Ron Nessman, noticed a stroller rolling toward oncoming traffic as he was leaving a job interview at an Applebee’s in Southern California. The baby’s great-aunt fell to the ground, and he saw that the stroller was travelling directly toward moving cars on the road. Ron has another reason to be happy besides being relieved that he avoided what might have been a tragic accident — a job offer.

While it could appear that Ron’s recent rise to fame on social media played a role in the decision, this is untrue.

According to a Daily Mail article, Ron’s popular video had no bearing on the decision to hire him. The individual was chosen solely on the basis of his abilities and modest demeanour. “He’s a great guy and he was a great candidate, and he’ll definitely fit with us here in Team Victorville at Applebee’s,” declared Emily Candy, the general manager of the Southern California location that recruited Ron.

In an earlier interview with Fox29, Ron described how the great-aunt of the newborn tripped after slipping her hold on the stroller. He was at the local carwash at the time. When Ron noticed the stroller moving into a four-lane highway, he reacted swiftly. When Ron enters the scene to prevent any major accidents, the heartbreaking video of the situation shows the baby’s guardian fighting to stand. Ron claimed that he had little time to consider at all and therefore reacted instantly. When he saw the stroller approaching the driveway and heard someone yelling, his heart sank.

He disclosed that the great-aunt of the infant tried everything to overcome her failure to do so. Ron was first unaware that the incident’s video had become widely popular on social media. Ron is thrilled to have been given the chance to work after being homeless for years after being chosen for the position. Ron wants to make his own money despite having internet fundraisers since the footage of his heroism went viral. Ron, who lived on the streets for over eight years, will soon be doing dishwashing at the restaurant chain.
