Kim Seok-jin known professionally as Jin is a South Korean singer, songwriter, and member of the South Korean boy band BTS. Despite him being the oldest BTS member, he’s quite popular in the celebrity & influencer circles worldwide.
Jin has written and released four single tracks with BTS: ‘Awake’ in 2016, ‘Epiphany’ in 2018, ‘Moon’ in 2020, and ‘The Astronaut’ in 2022, all of which are charted on the Village Digital charts in South Korea. Jin’s first independent song, the digital track ‘Tonight’ was released in 2019. He also appeared on the 2016 soundtrack with bandmate V from Hwarang: The Poet Warrior Youth. Kim’s first solo debut is released today on the 28th of October 2022. Kim has received critical acclaim for his falsetto and emotional range as a singer.

The stage name of Kim Seokjin is Jin. His family consists of a father, a mother, and an elder brother. Jin came from a wealthy family. He is the eldest in BTS.

In addition to singing, Kim appeared as a host at several South Korean concerts from 2016 to 2018. In 2018, he was awarded the fifth-grade Hwangwan Order of Cultural Merit along with his bandmates by the President of South Korea for their contributions.
