How Rohit Sharma Is A Legend In Making Run

  • Reason Behind Saying Legend To Rohit Sharma

“Legend” is a word used a little too loosely these days, but to term Rohit a “Modern day legend” makes complete sense. He is still making inroads in the longest format, but in ODIs and T20s, he is as good as the Warners, Amlas, and the Kohlis. To have witnessed this imperious batting masterclass itself is a privilege and the way he bullied and disparaged his counterparts so gracefully is an anecdote to cherish for the ages.

Rohit’s career can be segregated into two parts, before and after he was made to open the innings by MS Dhoni. His career took an upward flight after some decent innings in the Champions Trophy 2013, which was followed by that unforgettable 7-match ODI series against Australia. He first scored a memorable 143 in Jaipur chasing down a mammoth 360 and in the decider of the series, he bludgeoned the first of his three double centuries.

  • Rohit Is The Third-fastest To 9,000 ODI Runs

This is the second highest number in the format.  He leads the show in terms of most T20I hundreds smashed. He has so far hit four hundreds in the 20 over format. He is the fastest Indian opener and the second fastest opener in the world. He is the only batsman who scored 8 innings of 150+ In ODIs breaking the records of David Warner.
