Another contestant in the 15th season of Kaun Banega Crorepati (KBC) came very close to earning $7 million. However, contestant Jasnil Kumar decided to leave the game show hosted by star Amitabh Bachchan since he wasn’t convinced of the solution.
Can you respond to the “7 crore” query?
After properly responding to the question worth Rs. 1 crore, contestant Jasnil Kumar received a car. He wasn’t certain about the response to the 15th question, which was worth 7 crore. The inquiry was: Which of the following races was won by Indian-born Leena Gade, the first female race engineer? The choices were the Monaco Grand Prix, 12 Hours of Sebring, 24 Hours of Le Mans, and Indianapolis 500.

Amitabh concurred when Jasnil said he didn’t know the solution and would like to leave. Jasnil responded with choice B, which was the appropriate response, when asked to select one. Amitabh then reportedly remarked, “Khel jaate toh 7 crore jeet jaate aaj (Had you played you would have won 7 crore today)”, according to Times of India.
Jasnil upon receiving one crore
After earning one crore, Jasnil reportedly said, “Sir, ever since I learned about KBC, being on this stage has been my goal. I kept trying to come here starting in 2011. I recall crying more while thinking about KBC than while actually breathing. I used to put in a lot of effort while working hard for KBC. Even though I was made fun of, I believed that one day I would disprove everyone. I had a fantasy that everything in my life will change one day.
Jasnil also mentioned his five-year-old son, saying, “I used to ask my son, will the call come this time? when KBC’s call didn’t arrive. That young child once informed me, “Zaroor aayega (It will come),” and I was inspired by his conviction because I hadn’t taught him to say it. He said, “Papa, when you go, bring a shiny car,” saying “Papa jab jana tab chamchamati car leke aana.” His conviction is what brought me to this place. Jasnil also had the option of bringing home a commemorative technological device, and he decided on a brand-new TV.
On August 14 on Sony TV, Kaun Banega Crorepati returned for its fifteenth season. The enduring game show quiz airs on the weekdays at 9:00. With the exception of the third chapter in 2007, which was given by actor Shah Rukh Khan, Amitabh has hosted KBC since its inaugural season in 2000.
