Actor Karan Deol discusses his relationship with Drisha Acharya and life after marriage.
Two months have passed since actor Karan Deol and his longtime girlfriend Drisha Acharya officially ended their relationship by getting married. As she completes him, he refers to it as the “best decision” of his life.
“Since we had been dating for the previous ten years, not much has changed in our lives following the wedding. In his first interview following his wedding, Karan explains that “it is pretty much the same” and continues, “When you find the person and you love them, the thought of getting married to that person does enter your mind. And I had no doubt that Drisha was the culprit.
Karan gushes that Drisha knows everything about him and refers to her as his best friend. “She is well aware of my characteristics. She stands with me the entire time. She was familiar with me before I entered the field. She is a major source of motivation and support for me, he grins, adding, “She has changed the way I view myself. She has a different perspective on things, and if I start thinking negatively, she reminds me of the good things in life. She now holds a special place in my heart. She is by side of me. We enjoy cooperating. She loves cooking, and we both enjoy watching films.
The 32-year-old claims he took his time before taking the next significant step in his relationship because he didn’t want to hurry into anything. “My attempt to launch my career played a significant role in my decision to get married. It would have been unjust to her otherwise, therefore I wanted to become financially secure before I got married. So, getting married was only a matter of waiting for the proper moment, according to the actor, who has appeared in films like Velle, Apne 2, and Pal Pal Dil Ke Paas.
The wedding of Karan and Drisha took place in June of this year, and according on the images and videos that have been making the rounds on social media, it was a huge Punjabi wedding. “It was just a non-stop celebration with family and connecting with my cousins,” Karan recalls of the wedding celebrations. Everyone was so joyful and animated. Everything went extremely beautifully since everyone united in such a good energy from both families. I wish I could relive the celebration every time I think back on those times.
In fact, the groom had also planned a unique dance performance in honour of his renowned grandpa, actor Dharmendra. “At first, I was hesitant, but I ultimately chose to move forward. What better song, I wondered, could I choose to honour my father? Although it wasn’t planned, the love that led him on stage made it beautiful to have him there, Karan says, adding, “Drisha connects with my family. Everyone adores her and is delighted to have her in the family.
