India successfully test-fired Agni-5, a nuclear-capable surface-to-surface ballistic missile. The firepower of this missile is 24 times more than the speed of sound. It is capable of destroying different targets. Parts of many countries of the world including China, and Pakistan will come under its purview.
24 Times Faster Than The Speed
India successfully test-fired Agni-5 nuclear-capable surface-to-surface ballistic missile on Thursday. The firepower of this missile is 24 times more than the speed of sound. Its speed is 29,401 kilometers per hour. It is capable of destroying different targets. The capability to increase the range of the Agni 5 missile has also been developed if needed.
Three-Stage Solid Fuel Engine
A three-stage solid fuel engine has been installed in this missile. Agni-5 can strike accurately up to five thousand kilometers. During testing, this missile covered a distance of 5500 kilometers and destroyed the target. Missile’s test was conducted at the Abdul Kalam Test Center on the Balasore coast of Odisha.
DRDO And Bharat Dynamics Limited
This missile, designed by Defense Research and Development Organization (DRDO) and Bharat Dynamics Limited, is capable of targeting half the world and will cover all the countries of Asia including China and Pakistan, Ukraine, Russia, Japan, Indonesia, and parts of Europe. It is capable of targeting half the world.
Lighter than all Agni missiles Agni-5 ballistic missile is lighter than all Agni missiles so far. Missile’s weight is 50 thousand kg. Its size (diameter) in roundness is 6.7 feet. At the same time, its length is 57.4 feet i.e.17.5 meters. Capable of attacking with nuclear weapons, this missile can carry a nuclear weapon of 1500 kg with it. It can be transported to any place with the help of a truck. It can be operated from a mobile launcher. Its technology makes it more special. It is capable of destroying many different targets at once.
Far ahead of Pakistan, India’s Agni-5 ballistic missile was tested at the Abdul Kalam Testing Center on the Balasore coast of Odisha. The technology to increase the range has also been installed in this missile. Talking about China only, it can hit Beijing, Hong Kong, Guangzhou, and Shanghai in China. Pakistan does not have this missile system. This missile system is only with China, Russia, North Korea, America, and France. India is far ahead of Pakistan in terms of missiles. After this, India is preparing for the Agni-6 missile, whose firepower can be up to 12000 kilometers. However, how long will its testing last? No official information has been found about it.
Equipped With These Features
The weight of the Agni-5 missile is 50 tonnes, which is capable of carrying nuclear warheads up to 1.5 tonnes. The Strategic Forces Command of the Indian Army tested this missile from Abdul Kalam Island off the Odisha coast. The missile was first tested in the year 2012, followed by tests in the year 2013, the year 2015, the year 2016, the year 2018, and the year 2021. Agni-5 missile can also be launched from a submarine. Apart from this, it is capable of carrying weapons weighing 1500 kg. This makes it more powerful.
- Agni-1: Its firepower is 700 kilometers. Liquid fuel is used in this. Its first successful test was carried out on 28 March 2010. This missile is capable of carrying a nuclear bomb.
- Agni 2: Its firepower is 3000 km, 1000 kg nuclear bomb can be sent through this missile.
- Agni 3: Agni 3 was successfully tested in July 2006 for the Indian Army. Its firepower is up to 3000 km, which can be increased up to 4000 km. Through this, an atomic bomb of 600 to 1800 kg can be sent.
- Agni 4: This missile can destroy any part of Pakistan, along with this it can target half of China. Its firepower is 4000 kilometers. It was tested in 2011. This missile has also been made nuclear-capable.
