The nursing student natively hails from Guntur. The matter came to the fore after the girl approached Guntur police during the Spandana program on Monday and sought their help. reported media.
When the girl tried to sell her kidney, some miscreants allegedly offered her Rs 3 crore. However, they made her transfer Rs 16 lakh as taxes and police verification costs.
The girl informed the police
As per the reports, In her complaint, the girl informed the police that when she tried to sell her kidney she met one Praveen Raj on social media who told her she will be given an advance payment of 50 percent before the operation and the remaining amount after the procedure.
Following this, the miscreants opened an account with Citibank, Chennai, and transferred Rs 3 crore to it.
Accordingly, the victim paid Rs 16 lakh as a verification charge and asked the cyber crooks for his money back.
The accused then asked her to go to Delhi to claim the money. When the victim reached the address given by the accused, she found it to be fake.
So on the other hand, the victim’s father said that he had given one of his ATM cards to his daughter and found out about a cash withdrawal of Rs 16 lakh in November. When he asked his daughter to come back home, she fled from her hostel in Hyderabad.
Police, based on the complaint of the girl’s father, traced her to Jaggayyapeta in the NTR district of Andhra Pradesh at one of her friends’ houses.
